Your child’s dental health
The ideal time for your child’s first visit to the dentist is 6 months after the eruption of the first tooth. It is strongly recommended not to go beyond the age of 2 for this first visit. If you suspect a problem, don’t hesitate to take your child to the dentist, regardless of age.
What is the purpose of your child's first dental visit?
- Informing parents
- Intercept potential oral problems
- Familiarize your child with the environment and the treatment team
The dentist will give you advice on appropriate preventive treatments for your child: periodic cleaning, application of fluoride and dental sealant.
